Bring your own shirts or rescue from our textile waste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The workshop will take place in the Project Green showcase in the main atrium of Plaza Singapura. Sharp scissors and needles will be used in this workshop. Children under 12 are to be supervised by parents \/ caregivers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n About Textile Wonderland<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Textile Wonderland works with rescued textiles : re-imagined, re-loved. They are a collective of friends who are passionate about fashion sustainability who have conducted their community sessions with Renew Earth Sweat Shop at libraries, malls and community spaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n About Renew Earth Sweat Shop<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n An on-going research, community and participatory art project by Post-Museum and Veronyka Lau, Renew Earth Sweatshop responds to the environmental impact and labour conditions linked to the global fashion industry. Renew Earth Sweatshop is an attempt to \u2018reverse\u2019 sweatshops \u2013 to become what a sweatshop is not, to counter waste, to rethink labour and ultimately to renew our earth. It’s multi-partner community upcycling pop-ups have been showcased at Gillman Barracks, Temasek Shophouse, Asian Civilisations Museum, City Sprouts, Jurong Lake Gardens, Orchard and Harbourfront public libraries and various malls.
