At least of whatever that is left.

Along Jalan Besar or ‘Big Road’ (in English), just minutes away from Marina Bay, is a network of side streets of exceptional convenience for vices to thrive. Dig beneath the surface of an almost forgotten layer of Singapore’s society. Get our hands (and mind) ‘dirtied’ through an ‘exercise’ that has almost vanished in immaculate Singapore. Squirm through back alleys and up narrow stairways discovering unfamiliar sights in familiar sites.

Route:
Lavender MRT Exit B – Above Ground -> King Georges’ Ave Flats -> Good Food Central (Syed Alwi Rd) -> Sex Industry @ Syed Alwi & Desker -> New KTV wave @ Jln Besar -> Guinness Wall Mural @ Plumer -> New Fut Kai for simple dinner

About Offbeat Singapore

Offbeat Singapore is a walking Tour Outfit that is quirky, fun-loving and eternally curious. The plan was simple. To cook vegetarian meals and gift this to people who appreciate this simple gesture. Volunteers did this on Mondays because Food #03 was closed, and they could use the space for cooking and gifting food.

Initially, we started giving about 25 packets of food weekly. Today, we provide 420 dinners every Tuesday, primarily in the Jalan Besar-Lavender neighbourhood in SG.

Find out more here:
https://www.offbeat.sg/
https://postmuseum.my.canva.site/soup-kitchen

presents Take a Walk for Good – An offbeat trail of Jalan Besarfor The Soup Kitchen Project Singapore (minimum 10 pax).
