The Self requires an Other to define itself against. This idea that the foreigner\/Other can first be found within us is not new – as Zygmunt Bauman put it, the Other is \u2018the vomited enemy\u2019.

It hosts the Singapore Really Really Free Market, The Soup Kitchen Project, talks by local NGOs, performances by theatre groups, art exhibitions and workshops amongst others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n However, with the end of their current lease, Post-Museum will be closing down its current premises come end July. Hope and the Stranger is one of several fundraising events to help Post-Museum make up its budget deficit for its four years of operation and gather capital for its future space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Questions?
