Hi friend,
What a week. Hopefully, it has been an illuminating one :-)
It was sad and disappointing to receive the news early this week that the 80-year-old Sungei Road Market will still close on 11th July and not be relocated.
We will be staging a Guerilla Art Hunt at the market. So please join us this weekend. It's a chance to shop and support the vendors.
Join the Sungei Road Market Tour led by Faiz, Johnny & Azy who have been studiously researching stories about Sungei Road Market. You will learn about transformer robots, water ghosts, Boyanese, the great eviction and find out if opium dens really existed there.
If you have not caught Drama Box's The Lesson, I will be 'acting' as myself on Saturday's staging on 8th July - Open Space beside Tan Quee Lan Street (BUGIS). More info here https://www.eventbee.com/v/thelesson#/tickets. The Lesson will be an interesting complement to thinking through development and space. After that, we can go for drinks!
Lastly, if you haven’t already, do check out our SURVEY app.
Read on for more info.
See you soon!
Best,
Tien.
